HOME WELLNESS CHECKS / HOME WATCH
Regular Home Wellness checks are a core service Home Watch Madison. This ensures your home and property are in proper working condition and your investment is secure. Depending on the property, we cover 50-300 individual check points. After each visit, you will receive a report including GPS location, checklist of completed items, photographs of any areas of concern and notes from the Technician. Each homeowner and property are unique - - so services are tailored to your needs. Typically, Home Wellness Checks occur every few days or weekly. In some cases, we do them bi-weekly

EXTERIOR CHECK POINTS
- Ensure all entrances are secure; visual check for evidence of forced entry, vandalism, theft or damage
- Survey faucets / hose bibs & irrigation systems
- Verify landscape maintenance or snow removal has been performed
- Perform visual check from the ground of roof and gutters, siding, fences and gates
- Scrutinize yard and house for other evidence of non-occupancy
- Check outbuildings, boat lifts, piers or other marine equipment
- Confirm pool or hot tub settings are as desired
- Verify window wells are secure and pest free
- Look for any weather-related issues such as tree limbs, furniture damage
- Check mailbox
INTERIOR CHECK POINTS
- Check that all windows and entryways are secure
- Check security, automation systems, HVAC systems lighting timers are set and working properly
- Perform visual inspection of all HVAC serviced areas for signs of pest or unusual insect activity; note any unusual odors
- Complete a visual inspection of walls, ceilings, windows, tubs, showers for evidence of water damage, leakage, mold or mildew
- Verify all appliances are functioning properly
- Run all water systems (flush toilets, dishwasher, faucets, etc.) to ensure gaskets don't dry out
- Check fuse box for tripped breakers or evidence of power surge; reset clocks & timers as needed

“Home Watch is defined as the visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues."
On a regular basis (usually weekly), we do a series of checks on the interior and exterior of your home. This includes checking all the several systems checks, securing all exterior access points, testing water systems and more. If anything is wrong, we'll let you know right away with an electronic report, complete with photos. Home Watch Madison is an accredited member of the National Home Watch Association and the only Certified Home Watch Professional in Dane County. This means we have passed background checks, agree to operate in an ethical manner, carry the proper insurance, are bonded and uphold industry standards, do continuing education and more. HOMES ARE NOT MADE TO SIT EMPTY
In some states, insurance companies can drop home policies if a property is unoccupied for as little as 14 days! In Wisconsin, your insurance provider can cancel your policy if you home is unoccupied for 60 days. Get the peace of mind that all systems working properly, that pests and intruders are at bay by having a trusted professional care for your property.
Home watch is not house sitting - which is having a person live at your home while gone. Besides pre-post storm checks, home watch is typically done every few days to every two weeks while a home is unoccupied, most often performed weekly.
